Welcome to Skirts Rock! I love to run, but more importantly, I love to run in a skirt :) I ran track in high school (the middle distances), but left running behind once I graduated from high school. After seeing a running class offered at our local YMCA 3 years ago, I signed up, and got hooked :) I ran my first 5k 3 short months after that, and I haven't looked back since.
Recently, I have been trying to build my mileage back slowly since I suffered a muscle tear in my calf in January. I have really missed being out on the roads, but I have cross-trained faithfully. I am now running 3 times a week, with the hopes of getting back to racing in the summer and fall.
I started reading other people's running blogs last spring and really enjoyed their personal accounts of all the highs and lows that come with running. I hope can contribute something useful that will resonate with other runners.
